Nina Eaton Photography - Halls of Education filmstrip

This gallery features a handful of the 31 high schools in El Paso.  The oldest is El Paso High School, which opened in 1916. It was designed by the architectural firm of Trost & Trost, designed in a Neoclassical style. EPHS was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1980. The school is said to be haunted, tracing back to an incident in 1922.  To this day, teachers and ex-students tell of many happenings that have taken place over the years and into present times.

Two of the pictured schools are private Catholic high schools, namely Loretto Academy and Cathedral High School.
